Isiah Harwell, 5-star recruit in 2025, lists Gonzaga in final nine schools
Not a surprise to most, the Gonzaga Bulldogs are in contention for one of the more highly-touted recruits in the 2025 class.
Isiah Harwell, a consensus top-10 prospect across all major recruiting databases, has trimmed his college options down to nine — Gonzaga, Alabama, Baylor, Cal, Houston, Idaho State, Texas, UCLA and North Carolina.
The 6-foot-5 junior out of Wasatch Academy (Utah) appears to have built a strong relationship with Gonzaga's coaching staff. He's already taken an unofficial visit to Spokane and will be on campus the weekend of Feb. 3 when the Bulldogs host Saint Mary's. North Carolina has also hosted Harwell on an unofficial visit, though he does not have any more recruiting trips planned as of now.
The Zags and Tar Heels are the early frontrunners to land a commitment from Harwell, according to major recruiting sites. On3.com's prediction machine has Mark Few's staff in the lead, while Rivals.com favors UNC.

In addition to the seven finalists, Harwell fielded offers from Kansas, Michigan, Ohio State, Auburn, Villanova, Providence and Kansas State among others.
Harwell grades as highly as the No. 7-ranked prospect in the 2025 class according to 247Sports, which grades him as the top prospect in Utah and second-best shooting guard. ESPN and On3.com also rank Harwell as the No. 1 player out of Utah and a top-three player at his position.
Harwell is the second target in the 2025 class to schedule unofficial and official visits to Gonzaga. Nik Khamenia, the No. 52 player in the class out of Harvard-Westlake (California) was on campus the weekend of Oct. 6 and was in attendance for the Kraziness in the Kennel event. The Zags are also reportedly targeting five-star guard Jalen Haralson (La Lumiere School) in the 2025 class.
