Mark Few after Gonzaga's win over LMU: 'We were doing a great job of just making the right basketball play'

Bulldogs thumped the Lions, 92-58, for their fifth-straight win

There wasn't much Mark Few could complain about after his Gonzaga Bulldogs squashed LMU in a 92-58 blowout on Tuesday in Spokane.

Led by a career-high 24 points from Nolan Hickman, the Bulldogs (16-5, 7-1 WCC) shot 59.0% from the field, their best shooting mark against a Division-I opponent this season, and committed a season-low five turnovers while clamping down on Dominick Harris and the Lions (10-12, 3-5 WCC) on the defensive end.

Gonzaga scored 29 points off a season-high 20 turnovers from LMU, which shot 37.1% from the field after having its most efficient night offensively against Saint Mary's on Saturday.

"This was as good as we played all year," Few said after the win. "Our defensive intensity, our attention to detail with the scouting report that we put in. Our connectivity; we were talking and connected. We were just doing a great job of just making the right basketball play."
