In order for Gonzaga men's basketball to ascend to its current status as a household name across the college basketball world, the program had to pull off the unthinkable nearly 25 years ago.

Led by an experienced group of Richie Frahm, Matt Santangelo, Jeremy Eaton and Quentin Hall, the Zags became a Cinderella story as they advanced to the Elite Eight round of the 1999 NCAA Tournament, with a few breaks along the way.

Coached by Dan Monson, Gonzaga defeated Minnesota and Stanford in the first two rounds at Key Arena in Seattle, setting up a showdown with Florida in the Sweet 16. With time winding down against the Gators, Casey Calvary tipped in a missed floater from Hall, putting Gonzaga in front 73-72 with four seconds remaining. The Gators missed at the buzzer, prompting an electric and memorable call from Gus Johnson as he belted "Gonzaga, the slipper still fits," while Calvary's teammates piled on him in celebration.

The rest is history.

Frahm joined former Gonzaga All-Americans Dan Dickau and Adam Morrison on the latest episode of Talking Zags to relive those memories and reflect on how far the program has come since that incredible run almost 25 years ago.
