Stu Jackson on the West Coast Conference 'actively' pursuing options to add basketball schools
WCC commissioner's goal is to 'be the best basketball conference that we can be'
While football has been the driver of conference realignment, the West Coast Conference sits in a unique position as a basketball-dominant league on the West Coast.
But that's nothing new for newly appointed WCC commissioner Stu Jackson, who spent the last nine years as the executive associate commissioner of men's basketball in the Big East. Now Jackson is trying to grow the WCC's basketball brand through exposure and competition, starting with a new broadcast deal that will put over 900 athletic competitions on ESPN+ next year.
Former Gonzaga All-American Dan Dickau sat down with Jackson to talk about conference realignment, WCC expansion and more on the latest episode of the Gonzaga Nation podcast.
