The Gonzaga women's basketball team didn't face an opponent last week, but still managed to fall one spot to No. 16 in Monday's Associated Press Top 25 poll.

After securing the West Coast Conference regular-season title, the Zags spent the past week preparing for the WCC Tournament.

As the No. 1 seed in the tournament, Gonzaga had a triple-bye and will open the competition with a semifinal matchup against No. 5 seed BYU on Monday at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

Although the Zags were practicing for most of last week, many other programs continued to play competition, which resulted in heavy movement across the poll.

Defending champion South Carolina remained at No. 1, but the top of the national rankings still experienced a sizable shift.

Iowa climbed five spots to No. 2, replacing Indiana which fell to third. Virginia Tech moved up four spots to No. 4 and Stanford improved one spot to No. 5.

The biggest fallers of the poll were Utah and LSU, which dropped five spots each to eighth and ninth place, respectively.
