Women's college basketball rankings: Gonzaga rises to No. 15 in AP Top 25 poll (2/27/23)
Fresh off securing the West Coast Conference regular-season title, the Gonzaga women's basketball team was ranked No. 15 in Monday's Associated Press Top 25 Poll.
The Zags (27-3, 17-1 WCC), who were slotted 18th last week, finished off the regular season by going 2-0 on their road trip to San Diego on Thursday and BYU on Saturday.
Gonzaga clinched a share of the WCC title with its 73-61 victory over the Toreros, before surviving a nailbiter against the Cougars to win 58-51 and take full ownership of first place.
The Zags' two wins earned them 76 more points in this week's poll, placing the team behind Ohio State and ahead of Oklahoma.
As the No. 1 seed in the WCC Tournament, Gonzaga's next game will be the semifinals on March 6 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
