Trent Perry, 4-star in 2024 class, lists Gonzaga among final six schools

Perry is one of the top 10 recruits in California

Gonzaga has honed in on two class of 2024 point guards.

On Monday, the Zags found out that one of them is still interested.

Four-star point guard Trent Perry trimmed his list to six schools, according to On3.com. Gonzaga made the cut, along with Colorado, Oregon, Stanford, TCU and USC.

Zoom Diallo is the other class of 2024 point guard target, and he confirmed his ongoing interest in Gonzaga earlier this year.

Perry has taken official visits to all of his final schools except Gonzaga, which made an official offer to Perry last week. The Harvard-Westlake star was planning for potential visits to Notre Dame and Virginia, according to On3.com. UCLA had joined the recruiting mix late with a heavy push, but didn't make Perry's final list.

Here's what Perry had to say about Gonzaga to On3.com:

“Coach Few is considered one of the best coaches right now and he is the winningest coach. They have a track record of guard development and pros in the league.”

The 6-foot-4, 175-pound guard is a consensus top-60 player in the 2024 class across all major recruiting databases. He's a top-10 point guard, according to ESPN and On3.com, while Rivals.com has him at No. 12.

Perry burst onto the scene as a top-10 recruit in the state of California following a stellar junior season. He averaged 16.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists for the 29-1 Wolverines. Since then, he's fielded over a dozen Division-I offers.

Along with the finalists, Perry fielded offers from Vanderbilt, Saint Mary’s, Loyola Marymount, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, UCLA, Minnesota, California and others.

Perry, who's high school teammates with 2025 target Nik Khamenia, joins five-star recruits Asa Newell (Montverde Academy) and Zoom Diallo (Prolific Prep) as 2024 recruits on Gonzaga's radar. Both have visited campus within the last year, as Diallo was in attendance for Gonzaga's home win over Portland in January while Newell visited in July.
