TACOMA - Zoom Diallo did it again.

Diallo, a 6-foot-4 guard out of Curtis High School and the No. 1 ranked class of 2024 boys basketball prospect in Washington, scored 21 points to lead Curtis High School to its second consecutive WIAA 4A boys basketball state championship. Curtis beat Olympia 49-43 in the 4A state title game Saturday night at the Tacoma Dome.

Diallo flashed an array of moves and a smooth jump shot, finishing 8-of-16 from the field and 3-of-4 from the 3-point line. He also led Curtis with 6 rebounds.

A five-star prospect, Diallo visited Gonzaga in January for the Bulldogs' home game vs. Portland. Diallo trimmed his list of potential colleges down to six in early January. The final six are Gonzaga, Florida State, Kansas, Arizona, USC and Washington.

Diallo "put on a show" despite playing with a heavy heart. His father Siaka was hospitalized Friday night and missed the Vikings' semifinal and championship games.

“My dad right is battling through something with his kidneys,” Diallo told SBLive Sports after the game. “He’s having kidney failure. So last night he went in for an appointment, but he was having problems with his blood pressure. It was pretty high. They said he had to stay overnight.

“He missed my game (Friday) which I dedicated to him. He wasn’t at my game today. Before today’s game, I went to go see him and he told me to, ‘just put on a show’ for him. I feel like I did that.”
