24 years later, Gonzaga and UConn meet again in NCAA Tournament Elite 8
The Gonzaga Bulldogs are one win away from their third trip to the Final Four.
It's the same position the Zags were in back in 1999 when the small Jesuit school from Spokane, Washington shocked the college basketball world and upset Minnesota, Stanford and Florida as a No. 10 seed in the West Region.
Gonzaga's remarkable 1999 run ended with a five-point loss to UConn in the Elite 8. On Saturday night - 24 years later - the Zags have a chance at redemption vs. the Huskies.
In the latest episode of the Gonzaga Nation podcast, former Zags' All-American Dan Dickau previews the Gonzaga-UConn matchup and takes an in-depth look at how wide open the NCAA Tournament is with all four No. 1 seeds being eliminated.
