San Francisco looks for its fifth straight win as the Dons face off with Santa Clara for the first time this season

San Francisco and Santa Clara will meet for the first time this season on Saturday as the Dons look to win their fifth consecutive game. 

This will be the 234th all-time meeting between these two programs, with the Broncos holding a slight edge in the series at 118-115 after winning both regular season contests last year.

San Francisco (19-6, 8-2 WCC) enters this matchup on a four-game winning streak and tied with Saint Mary's for the best overall record in the WCC. 

The Dons are second in the conference in points scored (79.2 ppg) and points allowed (65.1 ppg), and boast two of the top ten scorers in the WCC with Jonathan Mogbo (4th - 15.4 ppg) and Marcus Williams (10th - 14.0 ppg) providing a solid one-two punch.

Mogbo was named the WCC Player of the Week on Monday for the third time this season, and followed that up by winning Player of the Game honors in the Dons' 80-74 win over Pepperdine on Thursday with a team-high 19 points. 

Santa Clara (15-9, 6-3 WCC) upset previously-ranked Gonzaga on January 11, but has since lost three of its last six games. 

The Broncos have the ability to light it up from outside the arc, leading the WCC in three-point field goal percentage (36.7%) and knocking down 8.3 threes per game. 

Arizona transfer Adama-Alpha Bal has been their best offensive weapon this season, ranking fifth in the WCC with 15.2 ppg and eighth in assists (3.3 apg).
