Boise State Football: $60-million Renovations Coming To Albertsons Stadium For 2026
Albertsons Stadium, in various forms, has hosted Boise State football since 1970. In the decades since, it has undergone quite a few changes and renovations. More changes are coming to the home of the "Smurf Turf" in the next few years.
BoiseDev.com published a report on Thursday detailing plans for a $60-million renovation, primarily of the stadium's North end zone seating areas.
These renovations will add premium seating to the aforementioned areas, as well as connect the east and west sides of the stadium with a new concourse. This will shrink the amount of total seats in the stadium, but a good chunk of the seating being added will be "premium" and sold at a higher price point. Fans that currently have season tickets in the North end zone, which are currently some of the cheapest in the stadium, will be relocated to other parts of the stadium
Expanding concessions and restroom facilities in other parts of the stadium are also part of the renovation plans
Construction on this area of the stadium will begin after this coming seasons Famous Idaho Potato Bowl in December, which Albertsons Stadium hosts. The project is expected to be completed in 2026.
