After a 4-8 campaign in 2023, the Ball State Cardinals will look to bolster their offense with a few veteran presences before the start of the 2024 season.

After announcing his entrance into the transfer portal earlier this offseason, Indiana State tight end Tyce Ferrell announced earlier this week that he had received a scholarship offer from the Cardinals. Ferrell made the announcement via X.

A 6'4", 245-pound Indiana native, Ferrell has 20 total catches for 139 yards in three years at ISU, including two touchdowns. In 2023, he caught six passes with one touchdown. The Sycamores were 1-10 last season. Ferrell will graduate from ISU in May.

Among the other offers that Ferrell has announced on X are FCS teams such as Hampton, Texas Southern, Central Connecticut State, and Bryant.

Ferrell will have two seasons of eligibility remaining at his new school. The spring transfer portal window opens on April 15.
