WATCH: Former Marshall Center Alex Mollette Catches Touchdown Pass On Wild Trick Play In UFL

It's not often that lineman get to score touchdowns. However, when they do, it's glorious.
Former Marshall University center Alex Mollette, currently playing for the UFL's San Antonio Brahmas, caught a pass on a fake punt this past Sunday in his team's season opener.

Mollette was lined us as an eligible receiver on the play and completed the 40-yard play with the pass thrown by punter Brad Wing.
"I know we put that fake in and we talked about how I was just more of a decoy, but stuff hit the fan and I was there, so...but I love it for the fat guys," Mollette said during a sideline interview following the play.
"I'd like to take credit and say that's just the way we planned it, but you know if you throw it to your center on a pass play, it wasn't really the first option," San Antonio head coach Wade Phillips said postgame. "But our punter did a great job. The guy we thought was going to be open was our tight end...they actually had two guys on him. Our second choice was the kicker, who we really don't want to throw it to anyway. He was covered. No one covered our center...Brad Wing did a great job. I told him I've never had a punter go to the third read."
The Brahmas won the game 27-12 over the DC Defenders to start their season 1-0.
