After starting the weekend as the #24 team in the College Football Playoff's Top 25, the Tulane Green Wave will likely see another week as a ranked team.

Tulane found themselves down 10-0 in Greenville, but scored 13 unanswered points to secure their eighth win of the season. Valentino Ambrosio scored the go-ahead field goal with 14 minutes remaining.

It wasn't pretty, but it was a performance that got Tulane to eight wins for just the second time since 2002.

Freshman Phenom At Running Back

Freshman Makhi Hughes rushed for 105 yards on 25 carries. That gives Hughes over 100 rushing yards for the fifth straight game. Hughes averaged 4.2 yards per carry, his lowest average of the season. Hughes is up to 877 rushing yards this season. Continuing at his current pace, Hughes should break 1,100 yards on the ground this season.

Winning the time of possession battle 38:12 to 21:48 played a huge role, allowing ECU just three possessions in the second half.

Consistency Under Center

Tulane Quarterback Michael Pratt has an impressive streak of his own going. Saturday marked 25 straight games with a passing touchdown for Pratt. Pratt has missed games in that stretch, dating back to 2021, but each performance he has been healthy enough for has been largely positive.

AAC Standings

The Green Wave improve to 8-1, 5-0 in conference play, and maintain the top spot in the AAC with dates against Tulsa, UTSA, and UTSA remaining in the regular season.

Tulane, UTSA, and SMU are all undefeated in Conference Play as of Saturday night.
