9 G5 Players Named To FWAA Freshman All-America Team

The Football Writers Association of America released their Freshman All-America team on Tuesday. All ten FBS conferences were represented, including each Group of Five league. Of the 32 players on the team, nine were from the Group of Five.

Tulane was the only G5 school with multiple players on the team (Makhi Hughes and Shadre Hurst).

The Sun Belt had three, the AAC had two, the Mid-American had two, CUSA had one, and the Mountain West had one.
