Who doesn't love a good sibling rivalry?

As Rice University wide receiver Luke McCaffrey finished his NFL Combine workout on Saturday, he narrowly beat the 40-yard dash time that his older brother Christian recorded at the 2017 NFL Combine. Christian recorded an official time of 4.48 seconds that year. Luke's official time on this Saturday was 4.47 seconds.

Luke had 126 receptions for almost 1,700 yards and 18 scores with the Rice Owls over the course of the last two seasons. He converted to the receiver position after three seasons as a quarterback (two at Nebraska and one at Rice).

Christian, a running back and Heisman finalist out of Stanford, was the #8 overall pick for the Carolina Panthers in the 2017 NFL Draft. Since traded to San Francisco, he was an integral part of the 49ers run to an NFC Championship and a Super Bowl appearance this past NFL season.

The 2024 NFL Draft is scheduled for April 25-27 in Detroit, Michigan.
