UTSA football announced this week that Roadrunners' Director of Player Personnel Zach Brown will move into a role as the team's Special Teams Coordinator. Brown will also assist coaching defensive backs as the team's nickels coach.

Brown spent two years in his previous role after moving over from a one-year stint as a defensive analyst and recruiting assistant.

Prior to UTSA, Brown spent three years at Ole Miss, primarily as a Player Personnel Analyst.

"Coach Traylor has something special goin in San Antonio! Proud and excited to be a part of it," Brown posted to X, once the news broke.

Brown has degrees from Syracuse and Columbia, the latter of which he was a defensive assistant for in 2013 and 2014.

The Roadrunners won their first bowl game in 2023 after completing their first season as a member of the AAC. Their first game of the 2024 season will be August 31 when they host FBS-newcomer Kennesaw State.
