Army Football: Michie Stadium Renovations Begin April 15
The United States Military Academy announced Monday that Michie Stadium, home to the Army Black Knights football program as well as other West Point events, will begin a series of renovations on April 15.
Per a press release from the USMA, the renovation project "aims to preserve the stadium's rich 100-year history while providing a world-class experience for cadets, graduates, families, and fans alike."

The East Stands of Michie Stadium will be closed throughout the 2024 and 2025 seasons. The project, dubbed the Michie Stadium Preservation Project, will bring about the removal of the existing East Stands, to be replaced with a new 160,000 square foot structure that will feature premium club level seating, a variety of hospitality options, a new fan store, upgraded concessions and amenities and "improved stadium accessibility." When the East Stands do reopen, the lower level will be dedicated to seating for West Point cadets, from end zone to end zone.
Michie Stadium's capacity is expected to be capped at 30,000 while the project is ongoing. The anticipated completion date for this project is set for the summer of 2026.
2024 will mark the 100th anniversary of the completion of Michie Stadium. Army open the 2024 season on August 31 when they host FCS Lehigh.
