The second FIU player to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft is wide receiver Jalen Bracey. After transferring to FIU in 2022, Bracey ended his college career in Miami with 70 receptions for 610 yards and three touchdowns.

Bracey spent his FIU career in the slot where he had a couple of breakout games, but towards the end of the season, most notably against the Arkansas Razorbacks, Bracey was being used out of the backfield. Bracey's stats as a running back were two attempts for seven yards.

Standing at 5'10" and 199 pounds, the Jackson, Mississippi product's biggest asset is his speed, which may stand out to NFL scouts given he can play the slot and spent much of his time as a specialist with kick/punt returning.

A great comparison is someone like Braxton Berrios. That may be the ceiling for someone like Bracey who has the same height and weight. Berrios has been in the league for a couple of years now, working on special teams as well as on offense since being selected in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

There is always a chance an NFL team will take a chance on someone like Bracey in the later rounds of the draft, but if that isn't the case, then he may go as an undrafted free agent or as a member of a practice squad.
