It looks as if UTEP co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Jared Kaster will leave the Miners before he has a chance to coach a game in El Paso. Kaster joined head coach Scotty Walden from Austin Peay this offseason after Walden was hired to replace Dana Dimel.

Matt Zenitz of 247Sports reported Friday afternoon that Kaster will be hired by Washington State as the Cougars' new offensive line coach.

Kaster spent one season at Austin Peay with Walden in 2023, where the Governors won the United Athletic Conference. Prior to that, Kaster was the offensive line coach and run-game coordinator at Houston Christian for five seasons.

As a player, Kaster started 37 games at center for Texas Tech from 2012 to 2015. He was a Big-12 Honorable Mention three times.
