The second Conference USA team announced throughout the bowl selections was the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, who will take on the Sun Belt's Old Dominion in the Famous Toastery Bowl on December 16 in Charlotte at 2:30 PM ET.

The Hilltoppers, who finished with a 7-5 record ended the season with two wins against the Sam Houston State Bearkats and FIU.

The Hilltoppers offense was led by quarterback Austin Reed who threw for 3,340 yards, 31 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Reed finished the season with the most passing yards in Conference USA.

Reed's number one target was wide receiver Malachi Corley who finished the year with 75 receptions for 958 yards and 11 touchdowns, which put the junior receiver at second amongst the conference in receiving yards per game, but was at the top of the conference in touchdown receptions.

As for the Old Dominion Monarchs, they finished the season with a 6-6 record, but where 5-3 against the Sun Belt Conference.

Led by quarterback Grant Wilson, who threw for 2,026 yards, 16 touchdowns and seven interceptions in the 11 games he played, the Monarchs ended the season winning the final two conference games.

Although the Monarchs are ranked the second-to-last offense in the Sun Belt Conference, this team found success on the ground this season, ranking 10th in that category thanks to Kadarius Calloway who ran for 606 yards and four touchdowns.

What will stand out about this matchup is where the Hilltoppers defense ranked, which was dead last amongst the conference. Their matchup against Old Dominion is one to watch.
