Even in retirement, accolades continue to roll in for Nick Saban. 

Saban was announced as one of six inductees into the Mid-American Conference Hall of Fame Class of 2024 over the weekend.

Before moving on to coaching, Saban played three years of football and a year of baseball at Kent State from 1970 to 1972. He played safety on Kent State's first conference championship team in 1972. Saban earned his bachelors degree from Kent State in 1973 and rejoined the football program as a graduate assistant that year.

In 1990, Saban became the head coach at the University of Toledo. It washis first of many opportunities to be a head coach. The Rockets were MAC co-champions in 1990 with a 9-2 record, Saban's only season at Toledo before joining the Cleveland Browns a defensive coordinator.

Saban went on to win seven Division I national championships with LSU (1) and Alabama (6). 

The 2024 MAC Hall of Fame class will be inducted on Thursday, May 30.
