Boise State capped the regular season with a home victory over Air Force on Black Friday. The Broncos held off a comeback attempt by Air Force in the final two minutes to secure a 27-19 victory.

The Broncos are now 2-0 under interim head coach Spencer Danielson. Andy Avalos was fired as the Broncos head coach earlier this month.

Ashton Jeanty's Monster Day

Bronco sophomore running back Ashton Jeanty had another phenomenal day in the win. Jeanty rushed 14 times for 107 yards and a touchdown. In the passing game, Jeanty also caught five passes for 118 yards and a touchdown.

When the Broncos have both Jeanty and George Holani to work with, it greatly helps them overcome opposing defenses, as well as recent hits to their passing game. Boise's passing specialist QB Maddux Madsen is out for the remainder of the year and leading receiver Eric McAlister entered the transfer portal earlier this month.

Four Straight Losses For Air Force

With the loss, the Falcons have now gone a few days shy of a month without a victory. They'll finish the regular season 8-4 after starting it 8-0.

The Falcons will still have a bowl game to play, but injuries and a failure to limit opponents' explosive plays have derailed what could have been a historic campaign for the Falcons.

The Title Scenario

With the Broncos' win, they just need one more thing to secure another trip to the Mountain West Conference championship game: a win by UNLV over San Jose State tomorrow. If that happens, the Broncos will take a trip to Las Vegas to try and win the league title over the Rebels. If San Jose State wins, then that will create a three-way tie for first place between SJSU, UNLV, and Boise State. Then it will come down to computer rankings and score differential to decide the title game combatants.
