Fresno State Ranked #25 in AP Poll After Week 4

The Bulldogs are the only G5 team in the latest set of rankings

Things are off to a very good start for the defending Mountain West champions. The Fresno State Bulldogs wrapped their non-conference schedule 4-0 this weekend after demolishing Kent State 53-10.

The Bulldogs were rewarded for their efforts by being included in the AP Top 25 following the conclusion of Week 4. The Bulldogs are ranked in the poll for the first time this season after finishing the 2022 season at #24 in the final AP Poll.

The Bulldogs were the only non-power five team (aside from Notre Dame) to be included in this round of rankings. Also receiving votes in this week's poll were Tulane (11 votes) and Air Force (6 votes).

The Bulldogs are currently second in the FBS in turnover margin at +8 with ten gained and two lost. They are also Top 25 in total defense with an average of 297.5 yards per game and a total of 1190 yards allowed.

Defensive back Carlton Johnson is tied for the FBS lead with three interceptions this season.

Receiver Erik Brooks is ninth in FBS with 448 receiving yards on 32 catches.

Quarterback Mikey Keene is tied for fifth in FBS with 12 passing touchdowns.

Fresno State have won 13 games in a row, their longest winning streak since 1960-62.

Fresno State continue the 2023 campaign when they host Nevada on September 30 at 7:30 PM PT.
