It was a wild Week One, guys.

Texas State won their first game over a Power Five opponent over the weekend. It was also GJ Kinne's first game as an FBS coach. There's so much to break down about that game, we had to bring in a guest. Keff Ciardello of the Austin American-Statesman joins to share his extensive insight on the Bobcats.

Ciardello also has a bit of San Marcos lore to share with the audience.

Joe also heard from GJ Kinne about the win and their upcoming matchup with UTSA. Additionally, Joe learned a little about ODU coach Ricky Rahne's taste in video games this week. Both those soundbites come from this week's Sun Belt media availability.

In the first full week of the college football season, we saw several dramatic upsets from G5 programs, including the aforementioned Texas State victory. Wyoming also had an overtime win over Texas Tech in Laramie, an under appreciated environment in the college football landscape. Northern Illinois also went all the way to Boston to pick up an impressive victory, and even Fresno State pulled off a fantastic win at Purdue.

Albeit a sample size, what we're seeing in the early weeks of the fall shows that this season was worth the wait.

Happy football watching!
