Per reports from Tuscaloosa's 100.9 The Game as well as Bruce Feldman of The Athletic, Georgia Southern offensive coordinator Bryan Ellis is joining Kalen DeBoer's staff at the University of Alabama. Ellis' new role will reportedly be coaching tight ends.

Ellis spent the previous two seasons at Georgia Southern as the OC and quarterbacks coach. Prior to that, he was a member of Tyson Helton's staff at Western Kentucky from 2019 to 2021. Ellis also spent 2014 to 2016 at WKU. 2017 and 2018, Ellis was an offensive assistant at USC under current Georgia Southern head coach Clay Helton.
