The Old Dominion Monarchs look to be bringing in a new face to help with their passing game.

FootballScoop.com reported Thursday that ODU is looking to add Tennessee Volunteers offensive analyst Kody Cook to Ricky Rahne's staff as a wide receivers coach.

Cook seemed to confirm the report by reposting Football Scoop writer John Brice's link to the report, as well as several posts congratulating him on the hire.

The Kansas State alum was previously a student assistant for his alma mater, and a wide receiver and tight ends coach for Hutchinson Community College (Kansas), where he also played prior to transferring to Kansas State.

Old Dominion finished 12th out of 14 teams in the Sun Belt in passing offense in 2023.

2024 will be head coach Ricky Rahne's fourth full season at the helm of ODU. Rahne was hired in 2020, but ODU chose not to play a season in 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

ODU are set to begin spring practices on March 12 with the program's Spring Game slated for April 13 at 2 PM. The Monarchs' first opponent of the regular season will be South Carolina on August 31.
