After rising to fame en route to a national championship, the LSU women's basketball team released its nonconference schedule, including three historically Black colleges and universities.

The first opponent will be a home game against Mississippi Valley State University on Nov. 12. The Devilettes finished last in the SWAC last season after going 0-18 in conference play. But the program has made some high-profile additions; former WNBA champion Ashley Shields will be an assistant coach, and Niya Morant, younger sister of Ja Morant, signed to the program earlier in the year.

Next, the Tigers will play at home against Texas Southern on Nov. 20. Texas Southern will have its work cut out as leading scorer and SWAC Freshman of the Year Micah Gray transferred to Seton Hall, and second-leading scorer Andriana Avent transferred to Jackson State.

The last HBCU matchup will be in Baltimore, Md., the hometown of LSU's star and Final Four Most Outstanding Player Angel Reese, where the Tigers are taking on Coppin State on Dec. 20. The Eagles finished seventh in the MEAC last season. Coppin won't have All-MEAC guard Jewel Watkins as she transferred to Charlotte, but they'll still have All-MEAC guard Mossi Staples.

Reese displayed her joy on Twitter/X about playing in her hometown. It'll undoubtedly be a large turnout, as Reese has become a Baltimore favorite.
