Former Grambling State Tigers Head Coach Hue Jackson Reportedly Will Join The Georgia State Panthers Football Staff

Jackson makes his return to collegiate football with the Georgia State Panthers.

Former Grambling State Tigers head coach Hue Jackson is reportedly expected to join Georgia State University's football staff under coach Dell McGee, according to Ben Moore.

Grambling State released Jackson from his contract with Grambling State after two seasons, finishing with an 8-14 record. In January, Jackson ended negotiations with Morehouse College to succeed fired coach Gerard Wilcher.

Hue Jackson coached his last collegiate game at the 50th Bayou Classic, where Grambling fell to Southern 27-22. On Nov. 28, 2023, Dr. Trayveon Scott, vice president for intercollegiate athletics, terminated Jackson's contract with the university after two seasons.

Jackson was the Oakland Raiders and Cleveland Browns head coach in the National Football League. His professional record as a head coach is 11-44-1
