Former Deion Sanders, Jackson State Star Receiver Expects To Sign With Vikings

Former Jackson State wideout is expected to sign with the Minnesota Vikings.

Wide receiver Daylen Baldwin from Jackson State is expected to sign a free-agent contract with the Minnesota Vikings, according to Jordan Schultz. "Baldwin reunites with Josh Dobbs — as well as Sam DeLuca, Minnesota's assistant director of pro personnel, formerly with the Browns," Schultz reports.

Baldwin also played at Morgan State from 2017 to 2018 before transferring to Jackson State (2019 to 2020). He left the Tigers as a graduate transfer to join the Michigan Wolverines in 2021 and later declared for the 2022 NFL Draft.

The Cleveland Browns signed Baldwin to an undrafted free agent deal before training camp, but he was waived on August 30, 2022. He was then signed to the team's practice squad.

At Jackson State, under head coach Deion Sanders, Baldwin had seven receiving touchdowns and 540 receiving yards in 2020. He was named the SWAC Newcomer of the Year.
