HOUSTON - According to AllDolphins reporter Alain Poupart, Terron Armstead, a former UAPB and current Miami Dolphins offensive lineman, was injured and carted off the field this morning during a joint practice with the Dolphins and Texans in Houston, TX.

Poupart first tweeted, "Potential problem for Dolphins … Terron Armstead limping walking off the field … favoring his right leg. Hurt on a running play … was on the ground after it happened." He followed the initial tweet with, "Armstead has now been carted off the practice field … didn’t put any weight on his right leg as he got in the cart. Worrisome indeed."

Miami activated Armstead off the PUP list on Aug. 1.

Last season, Terron Armstead, 32, signed a five-year, $75 million free-agent contract with Miami after nine seasons in New Orleans. He has four Pro Bowl appearances and numerous nods as one of the top offensive linemen in the NFL.  New Orleans drafted Armstead out of UAPB in the third round (75th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.
