Five SWAC Games Added to ESPN Broadcasts

The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) will have five games added to ESPN's broadcasts for the Fall 2021 season.

The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) will have five games added to ESPN's broadcasts for the Fall 2021 season.

According to the SWAC announcement, the contests will be carried live on ESPN+ which gives the conference "a record number of league games slated to be available on its linear and digital platforms."

Games added to the ESPN broadcasts include:

  1. McNeese State at Southern (Sept. 18), 
  2. Alcorn State at Bethune-Cookman (Nov. 6), 
  3. Florida A&M at Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Nov. 13), 
  4. Texas Southern at Alabama State (Nov. 20),
  5. Tuskegee at Alabama State (Nov. 25)

MEAC/SWAC CHALLENGE KICKOFFS 2021 SEASON

The SWAC and MEAC will showcase Alcorn State and North Carolina Central to kickoff the 2021 regular season for both conferences.  

ESPN will broadcast the Cricket MEAC/SWAC Challenge Kickoff live will kickoff league coverage this week on Saturday, August 28 when the Braves travel to Atlanta to face North Carolina Central in the Cricket MEAC/SWAC Challenge Kickoff live on ESPN from Center Parc Stadium in Atlanta, GA on Saturday, Aug. 28 at 7 PM ET.

ESPN’s College GameDay Built by The Home Depot will kick off the 2021 college football season by making its first-ever visit to the Cricket MEAC/SWAC Challenge Kickoff in Week Zero (Saturday, Aug. 28 at 9:00 AM ET, live from outside Center Parc Stadium).

The 2021 Cricket Wireless SWAC Football Championship Game is also slated to be shown live on ESPNU on Saturday, December 4.
