Quotables:

- Coach Brad Underwood and athletics director Josh Whitman have not addressed the media since the news of the arrest warrant for Terrence Shannon Jr. broke Thursday.

- Whitman released a statement as the news broke saying, "The University and DIA have shown time and again that we have zero tolerance for sexual misconduct. At the same time, DIA policy affords student-athletes appropriate levels of due process based on the nature and severity of the allegations. We will rely on that policy and our prior experiences to manage this situation appropriately for the University and the involved parties.”

- Both Underwood and Whitman will address the media in a press conference at 6:00 PM CST to answer any questions regarding the situation.

NOTABLES

- This will be the first game for the Illini without All-Big Ten Guard Terrance Shannon Jr. after being charged with rape. He has been indefinitely suspended from all team activities. The Illini will need other players to fill the offensive void this suspension will cause. Expect an aggressive Coleman Hawkins, Quincy Guerrier, and Marcus Domask tonight.

- The last time FDU played a Big Ten team, they defeated the Purdue Boilermakers to become the second 16 seed to defeat a 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. However, this FDU team looks much different with very few returning players and a new coaching staff. They enter this matchup 6-7 on the season.

- Illinois is 1-0 all-time against the Knights, with their only matchup coming in the 2005 NCAA Tournament. The top-seeded Fighting Illini beat 16-seeded FDU 67-55, after being down 1 at the end of the first half, in route to their Final Four run and National runner-up finish.
