OMAHA, Neb. — After a successful regular season that included 40 wins and one game short of claiming a Big Ten title, Indiana heads into the postseason on Tuesday looking for a tournament crown.

The Hoosiers play the second game of the Big Ten Tournament on Tuesday at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha, Neb., taking on Illinois. The two teams met in early April, with the Hoosiers winning two of three games in Champaign. They have played seven times in the Big Ten Tournament, with Indiana holding a 4-3 advantage.

The game is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. ET and is televised on the Big Ten Network.

Only the top eight teams make the tournament field, and the Hoosiers are the No. 2 seed behind league champion Maryland. It's Indiana's 10th straight tournament appearance, the longest streak in the league. They have won the event four times, in 1996, 2009, 2013 and 2014.

Left-hander Ben Seiler, a senior from Albany, N.Y. will start for the Hoosiers. He's appeared in 17 games this season, with. 1-3 record and a 5.45 earned run average. He has made six starts and has pitched 36 1/3 innings. He has 33 strikeouts and 18 walks, and has only allowed one home run all season.

This is a double-elimination tournament. If the Hoosiers win, they will play the winner of Tuesday's Iowa-Michigan game on Thursday. If they lose, they will play on Wednesday. (See full schedule below.)
