Annor Boateng announced his commitment to Missouri on Friday.

He chose to play for coach Dennis Gates over a top-eight list that also included Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Virginia Tech, Ohio State and LSU.

The 6-foot-5 small forward is a five-star recruit in the class of 2024, ranked No. 26 in the nation by the 247 Sports Composite. Boateng attends Little Rock Central High School in Little Rock, Ark. and plays for Team Griffin on the Nike EYBL AAU circuit.

Missouri's class of 2024 recruiting class now ranks No. 1 in the nation, per 247 Sports. Along with Boateng, coach Dennis Gates has landed Peyton Marshall (No. 57), Marcus Allen (No. 63) and T.O. Barrett (No. 88).

Despite including Indiana his top-eight list, Boateng never made it on campus in Bloomington throughout the recruiting process. Boateng had an official visit to Indiana scheduled for Sept. 29 through Oct. 1, according to On3's Joe Tipton, but this visit will obviously not happen anymore.

With Boateng off the table, Indiana's list of recruiting targets in the class of 2024 narrows.

Indiana recently hosted official visits for Montverde teammates Liam McNeeley, Derik Queen and Curtis Givens III, and Woodson traveled to New York to visit with Boogie Fland. Tyler Betsey and Patrick Ngongba II, who remain uncommitted, also included Indiana in their final lists.
