How to Watch No. 14 Indiana Women's Basketball vs. No. 4 Iowa Thursday Night
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — In the biggest matchup in the second-half of the regular season, No. 14 Indiana women’s basketball welcomes the No. 4 Iowa Hawkeyes to Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall at 8 p.m. ET Thursday.
The Hoosiers lost at Illinois 86-66 Monday — sliding to a No. 5 seed in the latest ESPN Bracketology — and out of contention for hosting NCAA Tournament games.
Two games ago, Iowa was upset at unranked Nebraska. The Hawkeyes got back on track last Thursday by handily beating Michigan at home — keeping their second-place position in the Big Ten. And five minutes into the contest, Caitlin Clark became the all-time leading scorer in Division I women’s college basketball history and wound up with 49 points.
Iowa moved up to the No. 1 seed in the latest bracketology with that win. That would mean the Hawkeyes would host the opening two rounds of the NCAA Tournament, before the Sweet 16. The top-four seeds — or 16 teams — get this advantage, which makes beating Iowa crucial for an Indiana team on the fringe of hosting the first two rounds.
Indiana was crushed at Iowa 84-57 in January, but the Hoosiers are 13-0 at home.
