The 6-foot-1 guard out of Cass Technical High School and Nike EYBL's (Elite Youth Basketball League) 'The Family' team, which he's playing up in the 17U division, has raked in several offers over the past couple of months including Michigan, Nebraska, Kentucky, Pitt, Kansas, Michigan State, UCF and finally Indiana.

While on The Family, Acuff and his teammates hold a 7-5 record in the Nike EYBL league with more basketball to play. Acuff leads his team with 246 points and is second in the league averaging 20.5 points per game shooting 47.7 percent from the field and 38.3 percent from beyond the arc.

Acuff's 48 assists and 14 steals across three sessions of the Nike EYBL lead his team while he ranks second on The Family with 44 rebounds. He's clocked in the most minutes of his teammates with 341 in 12 games.

As a sophomore, Acuff led his school team to its first Michigan State High School Athletic Association Division One championship as he was later awarded the 2023 MaxPreps Michigan High School Basketball Player of the Year.

ESPN 60's 2025 recruiting database has Acuff at No. 45 earning four out of five stars so far. With the amount of games Acuff has played outside of high school gyms and on the Nike EYBL radar, more recognition will surely follow as the young star has two more years of school left before joining a Division I collegiate team. Hoosier head coach Mike Woodson hopes it will be his ball club.
