BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Liam McNeeley is a Hoosier.

The class of 2024 five-star small forward announced his commitment to Indiana on Sunday, picking the Hoosiers over Kansas.

"Without God, I'd be nothing. I give all my glory to him," McNeeley said on ESPN. "With that being said, I'll be committing to Indiana University. Go Hoosiers."

"Coach Woodson has been recruiting me for a really long time. I mean, their interest in me has never wavered. They've been the most consistent in recruiting me, and I just feel really comfortable with them. The Indiana fans are crazy. I know some of them are watching now – go Hoosiers."

McNeeley is considered one of, if not the best, 3-point shooters among high school players. During the 2022-23 Montverde season, McNeeley shot 45% from three and averaged 13.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. On the 2023 Nike EYBL AAU circuit with the Florida Rebels, he shot 37.5% from three and averaged 16.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game, according to a source with Draft Express tracking data.

"One of the best shotmakers in the country," Paul Biancardi of ESPN said on the broadcast Sunday."But he's more than a shooter."

McNeeley is a consensus five-star recruit in the class of 2024. He's ranked No. 13 in the nation by Rivals, No. 13 in the ESPN Top 100, No. 15 by 247 Sports and No. 20 by On3.

He was measured at 6-foot-7.5 with shoes, 209 pounds and had 6-foot-7 wingspan when he was with the 2023 USA Basketball U19 team, according to sources.

McNeeley represents Indiana's first commitment in the class of 2024. Indiana is also pursuing McNeeley's teammate at Montverde Academy, five-star center Derik Queen, as well as five-star point guard Boogie Fland.
