Indiana Women's Basketball Will Have New Radio Home For 2023-24 Season
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Indiana women's basketball games during the 2023-24 season will be broadcast live on the radio by a new station this year. That station is B97 (WBWB) in Bloomington, which is the sister station to Hoosier Country 105 (WHCC).
Austin Render will maintain his same role as the play-by-play announcer and voice of Indiana women's basketball. He is also the sports director for both B97 and WHCC 105.1. Render will continue to conduct the weekly radio shows with Indiana women's basketball coach Teri Moren at The Chop Shop Market and Table.
Fans can listen to B97 by tuning into 96.7 FM or by going to wbwb.com.
The Indiana women's basketball team play its first exhibition of the season on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at home against Northwood, which will tip-off at 7 p.m. ET on Big Ten Plus. The Hoosiers will then host Eastern Illinois on Thursday, Nov. 9, for their first regular season game. And on Sunday, Dec. 12, they'll travel across the country to play another title contender in Stanford, which is led by a former Indiana Hoosier herself in coach Tara VanDerVeer.
The Stanford coach is a legend in the sport, as VanDerVeer is the all-time winningest coach in the history of NCAA women's basketball.
