ALBANY, N.Y. — Welcome to MVP Arena, where No. 4 seeded Indiana is taking on No. 5 seed Miami on Sunday night, with the winner advancing to next week's Midwest Regional in Kansas City.
Welcome to our live blog, where we'll keep you updating on all the action live from press row. We'll add opinion and highlights as we go as well.
The last time Indiana won a second-round game was on March 19, 2016, when the Tom Crean-coached Hoosiers beat Kentucky 73-67 in Des Moines, Iowa. The Hoosiers are hoping to snap that drought tonight.
All the latest items are at the top, so just keep refreshing to see the new posts. Enjoy the game.
10:29 p.m. — We're at the under-8 timeout now and Miami's lead is up to 12. it's 65-53 with 7:13 to go. Jordan Miller has been a tough guard for Indiana's fours. Indiana is being outrebounded 36-23 and has 16 offensive rebounds. Indiana on a 5-0 to get it down to seven at 65-58.
10:23 p.m. — Miami on a 14-2 run to pull back ahead by 10. Consecutive threes by Harland Beverly and Isaiah Wong were daggers. Mike Woodson has to call timeout. There's only 8:38 to go.
10:17 p.m. — At the under-12 timeout now and Miami leads 54-51. Trayce Jackson-Davis just picked up his third foul. Referee Jeffrey Anderson has called all three of them, all very questionable. SCORE CHANGE on the Hood-Schifino three.
10:12 p.m. — As expected, Jalen Hood-Schifino locked in now. Five quick points to put Indiana ahead 50-47. He has two rebounds and two assists too.
10:06 p.m. — First media timeout and Indiana leads 45-44. Great start. Miami just 2-for-8 from the field, defense has been much better. There's 15:32 to go.
10:01 p.m. — A great play out of the half, and Trey Galloway hits a wide-open three. Then a turnover and a dunk by Race Thompson and a basket by Trayce Jackson-Davis — and Indiana has the lead 42-40. As I said.
HALFTIME — Miami getting too many easy looks with dribble penetration. They're 16-for-29 from the field in the first half (55.2 percent). Trayce Jackson-Davis leads Indiana with 11 points and four rebounds.
9:34 p.m. — Trey Galloway drives and gets fouled, but he misses both free throws. He's 0-for-3 now. But the Hoosiers finish the half in style, with a nice three from the corner from Miller Kopp. Great assist by Galloway. It's 40-35, which isn't bad considering how poorly Indiana has played for long stretches of this game.
9:30 p.m. — At the under-4 timeout now and Miami leads 34-28. Big segment coming up here now. Indiana is in reach, need to close out the half well.
9:26 p.m. — A horrible 5-second segment for Jalen Hood-Schifino. He air-balls a three, then fouls Isaiah Wong on a three on the other end for a four-point play. Also his second foul and he has to sit again. A rough game.
9:23 p.m. — Trey Galloway hits a huge three, and the lead is down to three at 28-25. Nice comeback by the Hoosiers.
9:20 p.m. — Trayce Jackson-Davis draws another foul inside, and Wooga Poplar picks up his second. Trayce has made all five free throws so far. Miami leads 28-22.
9:14 p.m. — Trayce Jackson-Davis gets good position inside and scores over Miami's Norchad Omier. He's fouled too. That two on Omier's, who's their only good big. Miami leads 28-20. At the under-8 timeout now, with 7:54 to go.
9:10 p.m. — That timeout did Jalen Hood-Schifino some good. He's scored twice in a row now and made good decisions both times.
9:05 p.m. — Indiana completely out of sorts, and Miami leads 20-11. Miami's guards are ball-hawking and making every catch tough. Jalen Hood-Schifino coming back in, and he needs to flip the switch. There's 11:46 to go.
9:01 p.m. — Indianapolis native Nigel Pack is completely outplaying Jalen Hood-Schifino so far. The freshman has to get locked in. He's getting frustrated with every little thing. Woodson takes him out.
8:55 p.m. — We're at the first media timeout now and Miami is out to a double-digit lead already. It's 13-3. Totally ridiculous that Trayce Jackson-Davis hasn't touched the ball yet. Hoosiers are 1-for-6. You HAVE to go through him for everything.
8:53 p.m. — Miller Kopp gets Indiana on the board with a three from the left corner. Miami leads 8-3.
8:48 p.m. — And we tip off at 8:48 p.m., which seems so early. Sure beats 10:45. Miami on the board early with the first three baskets, and Mike Woodson quickly calls timeout. Indiana 0-for-3 out of the gate, with two misses from Jalen Hood-Schifino and one from Miller Kopp.
8:40 p.m. — The IU cheerleaders are ready to go too.
8:35 p.m. ET — No surprise, but Miller Kopp and Race Thompson are rocking the headbands once again.
8:30 p.m. ET — Connecticut looked really good in beating a Saint Mary's team that we know pretty well from last year. Huskies won 70-55 and it the ended on time. Looks like we'll start about 8:45 p.m. ET or so. Got all your TV info? If not, CLICK HERE
8:25 p.m. ET — Indiana in their home whites, as the No. 4 seed. Miami wearing green tonight, with white numbers and and orange trim
8:20 p.m. ET — Today's officials are D.J. Carstensen, Jeffrey Anderson and Brent Hampton. Carstensen we know well, of course. He's one of the best.
8:15 p.m. ET — Same starters for Indiana. It's Trayce Jackson-Davis and Race Thompson up front, with Miller Kopp, Trey Galloway and Jalen Hood-Schifino on the perimeter.
