ANN ARBOR, Mich. — The Indiana Hoosiers conquered their second Big Ten battle of the season on Tuesday against the Michigan Wolverines at the Crisler Center. This is the fifth year of December Big Ten games, and Indiana had only gone 2-0 once, in 2018-19, when they beat Northwestern and Penn State. They've done it again this year with wins over Maryland and Michigan.
While Indiana's guards struggled most of the evening, the Hoosiers' frontcourt built a balanced attack. Sophomore forward Malik Reneau led the team with 15 points and six rebounds. Center Kel'el Ware added 13 points and eight rebounds. Freshman forward Mackenzie Mgbako also contributed 11 points and four rebounds. CJ Gunn and Anthony Walker also both put eight points on the board.
Next up, the Hoosiers play a neutral site game against Auburn on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. ET at State Farm Arena in Atlanta in the Holiday Hoopsgiving event.
