WATCH: Indiana Point Guard Jalen Hood-Schifino Drains 3-Pointer at Iowa
IOWA CITY, Iowa. – Indiana's fast start was powered by the freshman.
With fifth-year point guard Xavier Johnson out with a foot injury, freshman Jalen Hood-Schifino is running the show for Indiana on Thursday at Iowa. Early on, Trayce Jackson-Davis set a ball screen on the left wing for Hood-Schifino, who drilled a 3-pointer to give Indiana an 11-4 lead.
The Hoosiers led by as much as 20 points in the first half against Iowa, but the Hawkeyes have trimmed the lead to 11 with 6:10 left in the half. Hood-Schifino leads the Hoosiers with 11 points.

Following Thursday's game at Iowa, the Hoosiers return home for a matchup against Northwestern on Sunday at Noon ET at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington, Ind. The Wildcats defeated Illinois 73-60 on Wednesday and hold an 11-3 record with losses against No. 22 Auburn, Pittsburgh and No. 24 Ohio State.
