BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana suffered a major letdown on Tuesday night at Assembly Hall, losing 90-68 against Iowa after winning at No. 5 Purdue on Saturday. Indiana's defense had no answer for Iowa, who owns the two highest-scoring games by an Indiana opponent this year at 91 and 90 points.

Trayce Jackson-Davis had 26 points, 13 rebounds, five assists and four steals on Tuesday, passing Alan Henderson as Indiana's all-time leading rebounder.

Here's what Jackson-Davis said after the game.

QUESTION: Trayce, the last 4:19 in the first half you guys were able to get some offense going. What didn't happen in the locker room, what didn't happen in the second half?

JACKSON-DAVIS: I just feel like, honestly we weren't into the ball. I feel like our nail and slot, just they weren't there tonight. Because I'm never supposed to -- I'm supposed to just be there, and I was switching a lot onto the guards, and usually that's the nail that takes that, and then he veers out if he's getting beat. And we just didn't have that. It was just a full, just, meltdown of our defensive game plan. They exploited it and they took advantage of it and they hit shots, so credit to them.

QUESTION: You're a senior and a captain. Do you say a lot in the locker room? Do you need to, or do guys maybe just understand that a performance like that?

JACKSON-DAVIS: Everyone's upset. Obviously after the game last weekend and then coming back and doing this, it's not what we stand for. Obviously, yeah, everyone's upset. That's not much to be said. We just have to come in tomorrow and come in Thursday and work.

QUESTION: Trayce, with as well as you guys played at Purdue and then as bad as you were tonight, how does that happen? What happens when the difference is that big?

JACKSON-DAVIS: I just feel like it was the defensive end of the floor. We scored 70 points almost and they scored 90. I don't know the last time we gave up more than 80, it's been a minute. But yeah, they just played up tempo, they played fast and we tried to slow it down. We just kind of were playing their pace and they took advantage of it.

QUESTION: Trayce, coming off the big emotional swing of the win in West Lafayette, was there any hangover and is there any hangover from this game to you guys or are you going to be able to let this go?

JACKSON-DAVIS: Yeah, you just got to – I don't really feel like there was really a hangover because we've already beat Purdue once so we knew that we could do it again. But at the same time, a game like this, you've got to wash it out because we've got another game Sunday and we've got to get ready for that and prepare for it. So we've got to have a quick mentality, quick turnaround and get ready to work in practice.

QUESTION: Trayce, your defense hadn't – it's been awhile like you said since there's been a game like this. Are these the ones that just kill you inside a little bit because it's been so long since you've had a performance like this?

JACKSON-DAVIS: Yeah, it's been a while since a team really dictated their tempo on offense, and they did that. That's a credit to them because they're obviously a great team, and they shoot the ball really well. They came off a very emotional win against Michigan State, so they're kind of hot already and they came in and they shot lights out. We just never had a chance to respond, and we never responded.

QUESTION: Trayce, the start when they come out 8-0 like that, was that a matter of you guys not being ready from the tip or they hit tough shots? What did you see there?

JACKSON-DAVIS: I think we got Kris [Murray] going a little bit. He got a wide open one, I think he got two open ones, actually. When you get a guy like that going like that, his teammates feed off of that. So I feel like after Kris got going, a lot of other guys started hitting shots and all chaos just breaks down. Then defensively we broke down, so I think that's the biggest thing that happened. I think we still got back into the game a little bit when it was like, maybe it was like 21-24, but they were already comfortable and when a team like that shoots the ball like that, it's hard to beat.
