Associated Press All-America Teams Announced for 2023-24 College Basketball Season

The Associated Press announced the selections for the All-America teams following the 2023-24 college basketball regular season. Purdue's Zach Edey earned first-team honors while Illinois' Terrence Shannon Jr. was a third-team selection.

The Associated Press announced its selections for the All-America teams for the 2023-24 college basketball teams. Two players from the Big Ten, Zach Edey (Purdue) and Terrence Shannon Jr. (Illinois), were included.

Edey received unanimous first-team All-America honors this season. The 7-foot-4 star for the Boilermakers averaged 24.4 points, 11.7 rebounds, 2.2 blocks and 2.1 assists per game.

Shannon earned third-team All-America honors this year. The senior guard averaged 23 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 0.9 steals per contest for the Fighting Illini.

  • Tristen Newton, UConn
    • 2023-24 stats: 15.2 points, 7.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.1 steals

Second Team All-America

  • Tyler Kolek, Marquette
    • 2023-24 stats: 15.0 points, 7.6 assists, 4.7 rebounds, 1.6 steals
  • Mark Sears, Alabama
    • 2023-24-stats: 21.1 points, 4.1 assists, 4.0 rebounds, 1.7 steals
  • DaRon Holmes II, Dayton
    • 2023-24 stats: 20.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.1 blocks
  • Kyle Filipowski, Duke
    • 2023-24 stats: 17.1 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.6 blocks
  • Hunter Dickinson, Kansas
    • 2023-24 stats: 18.0 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.4 blocks

Third Team All-America

  • Johni Broome, Auburn
    • 2023-24 stats: 16.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 2.3 blocks
  • Jaedon LeDee, San Diego State
    • 2023-24 stats: 21.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.2 steals
  • Baylor Scheierman, Creighton
    • 2023-24 stats: 18.4 points, 9.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.0 steals
  • Terrence Shannon Jr., Illinois
    • 2023-24 stats: 23.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.9 steals
  • Caleb Love, Arizona
