Big Ten Network Announces On-Site Coverage For New Year's Six Bowl Games
Big Ten Network will have live coverage from this year's College Football Playoff semifinal game, as well as a two additional New Year's Six bowl games this year. The network announced its plans on Tuesday.
This postseason, the Big Ten placed three teams in New Year's Six bowl contests. The schedule is highlighted by the Rose Bowl matchup between No. 1 Michigan (13-0) and No. 4 Alabama (12-1) — one of the two semifinal games of the College Football Playoff.
Additionally, No. 7 Ohio State (11-1) plays No. 9 Missouri (10-2) in the Cotton Bowl and No. 10 Penn State (10-2) takes on No. 11 Ole Miss (10-2) in the Peach Bowl.
Big Ten Network will have live pre-game and post-game coverage for all three games. It provided an explanation of its coverage in a press release.
"Dave Revsine, Jake Butt, Brock Vereen and Devin Gardner will be in Pasadena for the Rose Bowl, Dannie Rogers and Urban Meyer will cover the Cotton Bowl Classic in Dallas, while Hannah Mears and Adam Breneman will provide analysis from the Peach Bowl in Atlanta," the release said.
"Coverage for the Cotton Bowl begins on Friday, Dec. 29, at noon ET with B1G Today followed by reactions to the game between the Buckeyes and No. 9 Missouri during The B1G Show at midnight ET. Saturday’s coverage includes B1G Live: Rose Bowl Media Day at 8 p.m. ET, followed by takeaways from the Peach Bowl matchup between Penn State and No. 11 Ole Miss during The B1G Show at 9 p.m. ET.
"On Sunday, a special edition of B1G Live with Justine Fernandez at 11:30 a.m. ET will feature Jim Harbaugh’s press conference ahead of the Rose Bowl, while Revsine and Butt will provide continued coverage from Pasadena on The B1G Show at 6 p.m. ET.
"On Monday, Jan. 1, Revsine, Butt, Vereen and Gardner will preview the Wolverines matchup against No. 4 Alabama at 11 a.m. ET on B1G Live: Bowl Preview and at 4 p.m. ET on B1G Live: Rose Bowl Pregame. They will return with full coverage of the Rose Bowl Game following the semifinals duel at 9 p.m. ET on B1G Live: Rose Bowl Postgame and will have analysis of both College Football Playoff Semifinals on The B1G Show at 1 a.m. ET."
