BLOOMINGTON, Ind — Twelve different Big Ten games took place on Saturday, and 10 of them resulted in wins for Big Ten teams, save for Nebraska and Wisconsin.

The results and brief recaps for each of those games will be listed below.

In far more important news, Kenny Jacoby of USA Today published a report on early Sunday morning, detailing an investigation in which Michigan State football coach Mel Tucker is accused of sexually harassing rape survivor and activist Brenda Tracy.

Here's everything you need to know in today's Big Ten Roundup:

Saturday Game Results

  • Ohio State 35, Youngstown State 7 — Another week, another unsatisfying victory for coach Ryan Day and the Ohio State Buckeyes. To the outsider, it appears to be just another case of Buckeye fan craziness complaining about a 28-point win. But Ohio State might have some serious problems, as the team once again failed in multiple short yardage run situations, and did not look the part of a title contender.
  • Penn State 63, Delaware 7 — See Ohio State? THIS is how you're supposed to play against an FCS team.
  • Michigan 35, UNLV 7 — J.J. McCarthy looks very good. The entire "Jim Harbaugh is a victim for serving Michigan's self-imposed suspension" saga is still dumb.
  • Michigan State 45, Richmond 14 — What the Spartans did on the field on Saturday does not matter at all compared to what's happening off the field in East Lansing.
  • Northwestern 38, UTEP 7 — Okay, so 2023 Northwestern might not be the worst Power 5 team ever constructed. The 'Cats exploded for 31 second half points after being deadlocked 7-7 with the Miners midway through the third quarter.
  • Purdue 24, Virginia Tech 17 — Hard to take away too much real knowledge from this game given that their was a mid-game rain delay that lasted for more than five hours. Still, a good first win for coach Ryan Walters. Purdue also left the ranks of the winless, leaving Nebraska as the only Big Ten football team without a victory this season.
  • Iowa 20, Iowa State 13 — The Cyclones scored 10 late points to make the final result look a lot closer than it actually was. After a blip in 2022, this rivalry returned to what it most often has been under coach Kirk Ferentz — 60 minutes of Iowa sitting on their little brother and refusing to let them score.
  • Minnesota 25, Eastern Michigan 6 — P.J. Fleck and the Gophers are once again making their case to be the most unimpressive undefeated team in America.
  • Maryland 38, Charlotte 20 — Though if we're talking about unimpressive unbeaten squads, the Terrapins can't be left out. Mike Locksley's team turned it on after trailing 14-0 at home early to the 49ers, but Maryland might not be the 8-or-9 win team that many projected them to be before the season.
  • Rutgers 36, Temple 7 – The Scarlet Knights won a game by 29 points where their quarterback went 10-for-21 on passes for 198 yards. That rules.
  • Washington State 31, Wisconsin 22 — So maybe it's actually going to take a while before coach Luke Fickell gets things rolling at Wisconsin? Washington State sweeping the Badgers in this home-and-home series in 2022-23 has to be one of the more shocking things that's ever happened in the sport.
  • Colorado 36, Nebraska 14 — Jeff Sims committed another turnover while I was writing this bullet point.

Coach Mel Tucker Under Investigation

If anyone hasn't read the full story in USA Today as of yet, here is the link to it. Be warned, the details are fairly disturbing and unsettling.

In the report, Tracy claims that Tucker masturbated while making sexual comments about her, without her consent, during a phone call. Tracy filed a complaint to the Michigan State Title IX office in December of 2022.

"Michigan State hired an outside Title IX attorney to investigate the complaint," Jacoby wrote in the USA Today story. "She finished her investigation in July. A formal hearing to determine whether Tucker violated the school’s policy banning sexual harassment and exploitation is scheduled for Oct. 5 and 6, during the Spartans’ bye week."
