Gavitt Tipoff Games: How to Watch Every Big Ten vs. Big East Matchup

The battle for conference superiority in the Gavitt Tipoff Games hinges on Friday night. Rutgers took down Georgetown on Wednesday to knot the series at 3-3 with two games remaining.
Four Scarlet Knights hit double figures in Wednesday's win, led by Derek Simpson with 15 points. Aundre Hyatt and Gavin Griffiths chipped in 12 each and Noah Fernandes added 10. Rutgers also held Georgetown to 35.3% from the floor in the 11-point victory.
Friday marks the final day of the Gavitt Tipoff Games, with two games on the schedule:
Friday, Nov. 17
- Butler at Michigan State, 6:30 p.m. ET. TV: FOX Sports 1
- Maryland at Villanova, 8:30 p.m. ET. TV: FOX Sports 1
The Gavitt Tipoff Games come to a close on Friday, featuring two of the Big Ten's most disappointing early-season teams. Michigan State looked horrendous in its loss to James Madison. Maryland has already dropped to 1-2 on the season. Both were picked to finish in the top tier of the Big Ten and would like to show some major improvement from the troubling start of the 2023-24 campaign.
