How to Watch No. 2 Purdue Basketball vs. Minnesota on Thursday

The Purdue Boilermakers host the Minnesota Golden Gophers in their lone meeting of the 2023-24 season on Thursday night. Here's everything you need to know about the mid-week contest.

Purdue is hoping to maintain its undefeated record at home and extend its winning streak to nine games on Thursday, hosting Minnesota at Mackey Arena. The Boilermakers could also further put a stranglehold on their spot atop the Big Ten standings.

Thursday's meeting between Purdue and Minnesota will be the only meeting of the year between the two programs. Here's how you can watch the mid-week battle between the Boilermakers and Gophers:

Meet the coaches

• Matt Painter, Purdue: Painter is in his 19th season at Purdue, posting a 435-200 record. He's led the Boilermakers to four Big Ten regular season championships and two Big Ten Tournament titles. Purdue has also reached the NCAA Tournament 14 times with six Sweet Sixteen appearances. Purdue has won at least 20 games eight times in the last 10 years under Painter. Last year, the Boilermakers won both the Big Ten regular season and Tournament titles.
• Ben Johnson, Minnesota: Johnson is in the middle of his third year with the Golden Gophers, seeing major improvements during the 2023-24 campaign from previous years. The Gophers have already won as many Big Ten games this season (six) as they won in the previous two seasons combined. Johnson started his college basketball career at Northwestern (1999-2001) before transferring to Minnesota to finish out his playing days from 2002-04.
