- Ben Johnson, Minnesota: Johnson is in the middle of his third year with the Golden Gophers, seeing major improvements during the 2023-24 campaign from previous years. The Gophers have already won as many Big Ten games this season (six) as they won in the previous two seasons combined. Johnson started his college basketball career at Northwestern (1999-2001) before transferring to Minnesota to finish out his playing days from 2002-04.
