Chris Collins got his money's worth on Wednesday night. In the final second of a showdown against Purdue at Mackey Arena, the Northwestern coach was ejected from the game after ripping into an official.

In the closing seconds of Wednesday's Big Ten thriller, Boo Buie missed a 3-point attempt with Northwestern trailing 101-96. The miss ended the Wildcats' hopes of a road upset — and that's when Collins decided to go after the officiating crew.

Brooks Barnhizer and Ty Berry had to get between their coach and the official. Collins then walked to the locker room, but congratulated Purdue coach Matt Painter and the Boilermakers on his way to the locker room.

As a result of the ejection, Purdue's Mason Gillis shot four free throws to end the contest. The Boilermakers finished with a 105-96 victory, improving to 20-2 on the year.

Wednesday's game was one of the best we've seen this season in the Big Ten. Both games between Purdue and Northwestern went into overtime.
