COLLEGE PARK, Md. — When you're trying to change the culture of your program by finally — yes, finally! — winning close Big Ten games on the road, you need special players to make special plays to get that done.

Saturday night against Maryland, we learned once again that Indiana sophomore running back Stevie Scott is a valuable member of this Indiana team. He was a big reason why the Hoosiers won 34-28 against the Terrapins for their second straight Big Ten victory.

Scott has now rushed for 553 yards on the season, but it's been the last four game where he's really picked it up, averaging nearly 109 yards per game. He was never bothered by his slow start, and he knew the good days were coming.

And in the last month, he's proved that.

Scottt also scored two touchdowns on Saturday, bringing his total on the season to six. He seems to  run even harder around the goal line, and that was evident again on Saturday when the Hoosiers needed every yard he gained and every point he scored.

In this postgame video, Scott talks about his night and the contributions of backup quarterback Peyton Ramsey, who played great after coming off the bench to replace starter Michael Penix Jr,, who was injured in the first half.

Indiana is now 5-2 on the season and 2-2 in the Big Ten. They travel to Nebraska next weekend to take on the Cornhuskers in another big game for the Hoosiers.
